American actress Constance Britton was born on March 6, 1967. The Brothers McMullen, an independent comedy-drama, was Britton’s first feature film appearance. The following year, she was chosen to play Nikki Faber on the ABC sitcom Spin City. Later, she acted in the brief comedy The Fighting Fitzgeralds (2001) and Lost at Home (2003).
She also made appearances in a number of movies, including the horror The Last Winter (2006) and the sports drama Friday Night Lights (2004).
In the NBC/DirecTV drama series Friday Night Lights, Britton played Tami Taylor from 2006 until 2011. She garnered favorable reviews from critics for her part, for which she was nominated for two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
Why was Connie Britton written out of Nashville?
The actress spoke candidly about the difficult choice she made to end the series in a recent interview with TV Line. There were other factors at play, and it was something that had been simmering for a while. But ensuring that the timing was appropriate was actually my top goal.
