Eric Stonestreet’s interest in acting began when he was a child. He created a clown character named Fizbo and started performing at younger children’s birthday parties at the age of 11.

Eric Stonestreet attended Piper High School and Kansas State University, where he was in the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, graduating with a degree in sociology in 1996.
