UFC Fighter Geoff Neal Arrested For Assault On Vicente Luque

A rumor about Geoff Neal being arrested has spread throughout the media, but it is a hoax. The athlete has not been arrested, and he must have been celebrating his most significant victory over Vicente Luque the day before.

On Thanksgiving Day, Neal was arrested on November 25, 2021, for driving while intoxicated and unlawfully carrying a weapon.

His attorney, Brandon Barnett, told ESPN that when he was arrested, he volunteered for a blood test, and his team believes the results will show that Geoff was not over the legal blood-alcohol limit of 0.08 percent.

Brandon said that there would be no case file filed against Geoff until those results were received.

Concerning the weapon charge, Brandon stated that the UFC fighter had a legally licensed gun in his car and that the charge exists only if it is illegal to have a firearm in his possession while allegedly committing a crime.

What Happened Between Geoff Neal And Vicente Luque?

Vicente Luque and Geoff Neal fought in a Welterweight bout on Saturday, August 6, 2022, from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Geoff won the third round by stoppage after a bloody battle.

The two athletes began with a massive exchange of power kicks. Vicente pushed the action, but both men landed right away.

Geoff stunned his opponent 90 seconds into the fight with a mighty left hand! Geoff tried to flurry and force the finish, but Luque resisted, and he backed off. Vicente immediately returned to the offensive, stringing together combinations and pushing his opponent towards the cage.

Geoff’s counter left landed well from his back foot. Vicente came out firing left kicks, hoping to limit the use of that left hand. Geoff responded with his body kicks. Vicente was walking into fewer Neal’s left hands due to those kicks, and he had a little more success.

Early in the third, Geoff landed some lefts in the face of his opponent’s kicking assault. The next left threw Vicente into the fence! Neal tracked him down to the cage and unleashed a massive combo. Even when Vicente began firing back, Geoff gambled and remained in the pocket.

As a result, Neal became the first man to use strikes to stop Vicente. The fight was Geoff’s best performance, and he earned the best win of his career.

Geoff Neal Jail Time And Sentence- Is He In Prison?

Geoff Neal has not been arrested, so he is not currently incarcerated. He was arrested early on November 25, 2021, and released that night at 8:08 p.m. after posting a $2,000 bond for driving while intoxicated and carrying a weapon.

Brandon said that the weapon charge would also be dropped if Geoff’s blood-alcohol level was less than 0.08 percent.

The test result of blood could take anywhere from six weeks to six months to arrive. Brandon stated that since the arrest report has not yet been released to him, he is unsure of the reasonable cause of Geoff’s arrest.
