Masika Kalysha Champ (born Masika Kalysha) is an American actress, reality television personality, singer/songwriter, entrepreneur, and businesswoman. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on June 7, 1985, and is of French Creole origin.
Kalysha graduated from Mount Zion High School in Jonesboro, Georgia, in 2003 and later relocated to Los Angeles, California, to pursue her acting career in 2011.
Kalysha is most known for her appearances on VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood and We TV’s Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta. She has also appeared in various music videos, notably Field Mob’s “So What” in 2005.
In 2006, Kalysha made her acting debut in the film Three Can Play That Game. She made her debut appearance on Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood in 2013, and she returned for season 3, which documented the birth of her daughter, Khari Barbie Maxwell, and her subsequent co-parenting with Fetty Wap.
Kalysha has had many singles published, including “Andale” with Fetty Wap in 2015, “My Own” in 2016, and “OHHH3X” in 2017. She is also a businesswoman and entrepreneur, with her own cosmetics line, Kharibarbie Cosmetics.
Kalysha returned to Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood for its fourth season in 2017, although she did not return after the season’s reunion particularly owing to her dissatisfaction with her representation on the program. She later appeared in Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta.
Kalysha is also an activist and financial literacy specialist, with over 2.4 million Instagram followers. In 2020, she proposed to Jamar Champ, and the couple married later that year.
