Often times, school leavers spend many years trying to gain admission to study medicine in public universities without knowing that there are private universities that offer the same course although it is usually more expensive.
In this post, we have compiled a list of private universities in the country that offer medicine as a course.
But before we go further, here are a few things you should know about studying Medicine at a tertiary institution.
Typically, the program, Medicine and Surgery is offered by the College or Faculty of Medicine. It comprises courses which the students have to pass prior to earning the much-coveted MBBS degree.
The curriculum spans six academic years and is divided into three stages. First, there is the pre-medical stage which is essentially natural and pure science-based. The next stage is the pre-clinical stage in which the basic medical science courses are taught. And the final stage is the clinical stage in which the courses focus on the nature of diseases with the systematic instructions in medicine.
