Karima Boys High School Description
Karima Boys High School is a Boys boarding school, located in Karima location, Nyeri County.Karima Boys High School is a prestigious school located in the hilly town of Othaya, Kenya. Boys High School started from a little known primary school that was started in the early years of the 20th century.
The school then catered for children from the expansive Karima Catholic Parish. On February 14, 1960, the secondary school was born, and by the time it was celebrating the golden jubilee in 2010, it had grown from a small, one stream institution to three streams. Implementation of the first Strategic Plan covering the period 2008-2012 propelled the school to its current four-stream status.
The School is located 5km from Othaya Town, and an easy 5-minute drive from town.
As it will be remembered, the third president of the Republic of Kenya, H.E. Hon. Mwai Kibaki is an alumnus of the primary school that was a precursor to Karima Boys High School, where he attended his early years of school in 1942 and 1943. Many more prominent Kenyans in various sectors of the economy from various parts of the country have gone through the school, and continue keeping the light of the school shining in their respective spheres.
Through concerted efforts of the school administration, the Board of Governors and Parents Teachers Association, it is the intention of the school to continue being a pillar of success and one of the best schools in the region.
