Many floor members have poured their tribute following the passing of Karen Lumbley on 25th May 2023.
Redditch MP Rachel Maclean paid homage to her predecessor in a statement, saying, “During her tenure as the Member of Parliament for Redditch, Karen displayed plenty of compassion and a real desire to better people’s lives.
Many people will miss her. During this extremely trying time, my thoughts and prayers are with Karen’s family and friends.
Sajid Javid, the former Chancellor and member of parliament for Bromsgrove, said Mrs. Lumley was “a fantastic colleague and friend as a neighboring MP – and truly loved representing her constituents.”
Prior to winning the seat in the 2010 general election, Mrs. Lumley ran unsuccessfully for the Redditch seat against Jacqui Smith, a former Labour Home Secretary.

English politician Karen Elizabeth Lumley was born on March 28, 1964. She is a member of the Conservative Party.
After defeating former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith in the 2010 general election, she has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Redditch in Worcestershire. During the 2017 presidential election, she resigned.
She died after battling a disease for long.
